What to expect:

Arriving from 6:00 pm, you’ll be welcomed into a relaxed atmosphere where you can settle in, meet your fellow stargazers and enjoy the evening’s hospitality. With a maximum of just 16 guests, this intimate experience offers plenty of opportunity to connect with your guide Bryan, ask questions and share the excitement of discovering the night sky together.

As darkness settles over the vineyard, Bryan will introduce you to the wonders above, sharing fascinating insights into what’s visible in the sky at this time of year. Using a laser pointer, he’ll guide you through the constellations before inviting you to explore the night sky through the telescope. With a small group, everyone has time to observe, ask questions and enjoy a more personal stargazing experience. As the evening unfolds, you’ll discover how the sky transforms, with each viewing revealing something new.

The experience concludes at approximately 8:00 pm, leaving you with new friends, stories to share and a deeper appreciation for the universe around us.

What to bring:

Dress warmly as the night can get chilly. This is an outdoor experience, so layers are recommended to ensure you stay comfortable throughout the event.

Food options available on the night

Sip a glass of ridgemill estate wine and toast marshmallows around the cosy fire. A selection of handcrafted cheese platters are available to purchase when booking.

Do I need astronomy experience: No. The experience is suitable for both beginners and experienced stargazers.

What should I wear: Warm layers and enclosed shoes are recommended, as evenings on the Granite Belt can be cool.

Are other drinks available? Yes! Beer, cider and soft drinks are also available for purchase.

Can I bring my own food & drinks? Sorry no — BYO

Can we bring our pet? We love furry friends, but this event isn’t pet friendly, so please leave your pets at home.

This experience requires 5 persons minimum to run. ridgemill estate reserves the right to cancel at any time depending on inclement weather and local fire conditions. We would provide notification to you no later than 12:00 MIDDAY on the day of your experience.

In the event of a cancellation due to inclement weather, any monies paid will be refunded in full.

In the event a guest wants to cancel, ridgemill estate requires 48 hours notice prior the date of your booked experience. Notice to cancel must be submitted in writing to: info@ridgemillestate.com
