Whether you’re a budding astronomer or simply curious this is a night for everyone.

Local and visiting astronomy lovers will be setting up their powerful telescopes for guests to look through, offering a closer view of stars, planets, and nebulae. This year’s night sky offers plenty to see, including stunning views of the Andromeda Galaxy, various nebulae and galaxies, and all-night visibility of Saturn and Uranus. There will also be chances to spot Mars, enjoy forecast meteor showers, and take in deep sky sights. Before night falls, don’t miss the chance for solar viewing through a solar telescope as the sun begins to set.

To help you navigate the night sky, there’ll be a laser-guided constellation tour — a guided experience filled with stories, insights and fascinating facts that bring the stars to life.

Live music will be playing throughout the evening and local food vans will be serving up delicious bites to keep you happy while you stargaze.
